Here’s What My Congressional Office Can Do For You

Before I was a Member of Congress, I had to spend plenty of time dealing with the federal bureaucracy on my own, so I know that it is not always easy!

As your U.S. Representative, it is a priority of mine to help you smoothly interact with the many federal agencies and offices. The caseworkers in my district offices can serve as liaisons between you and an agency you need assistance with. We cannot guarantee a favorable outcome, but we will work closely with you to ensure a timely and fair response to your request.

Please check out this link, which provides you with a list of federal agencies we can help you work with. You will need to send in a privacy waiver before our caseworkers can begin to work with an agency or office on your issue, which you can fill out here.

In addition, my staff offers a wide variety of constituent services, including:

CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION
CONGRESSIONAL COMMENDATIONS
CONGRESSIONAL PAGE PROGRAM
INTERNSHIPS IN MY OFFICES
MILITARY AWARDS AND SPECIAL RECOGNITION
PRESIDENTIAL GREETINGS
REQUESTING A U.S. FLAG

SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS
TOURING OUR NATION’S CAPITOL
OTHER ISSUES

If we can be of any other assistance to you, please contact my Prescott district office at 928-445-3434 or my Casa Grande district office at 520-836-3226. I look forward to hearing from you!

Constituent Services

Congressional Art Competition

Every year, my office accepts submissions of artwork from high school students in District One for Artistic Discovery, the House of Representatives’ nationwide high school arts competition. The winner from our District will have their artwork displayed in the Capitol Building. Click here to learn how to participate.

Congressional Commendations

On your request, my office can provide acknowledgement of special events, such as a high school graduation, appointment to public office, attainment of U.S. Citizenship, earning Eagle Scout or Gold Star honors or other achievements of public distinction. You can request a congressional commendation here.

Congressional Page Program

High school juniors are eligible work as Pages in the U.S. House of Representatives for a fall or spring. There is no GPA requirement for Pages who work during the summer semester. While serving the House, Pages live in Washington, D.C., at the Page Residence Hall, a few blocks away from the Capitol. During the academic year, Pages attend classes at the House Page School. You can apply to be part of the Page Program or learn more about it here.

Internships in My Offices

I run an internship program for interested college students both in Washington and in my district headquarters. Interns assist my staff with constituent services, Capitol tours, research and many other exciting projects, and have an opportunity to learn how a congressional office works on a daily basis.

Military Awards and Special Recognition

My office can help you work with the Armed Forces to complete the process of awarding special recognition you earned during your military service.

Presidential Greetings

District residents can request to receive a greeting from the President of the United States through our website.

Request a U.S. Flag

You can purchase a U.S. flag through my office. There is no limit on the number of flags you may order. You may also request that your new flag be flown over the Capitol. Flags may be flown for a particular person, event or organization and may be flown on a specific date. A certificate of recognition is included with each flag.

Service Academy Nominations

Each member of Congress can appoint high school graduates from their district to the service academies – the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Attendance at one of our nation’s service academies is a distinct honor and excellent option for college. For each vacancy, I am allowed to nominate ten individuals. You can learn more about the service academy nomination process here.

Touring Our Nation’s Capitol

If you are visiting the Washington, D.C. area, we have plenty of information available on local tours and points of interest. My office is also happy to help you make arrangements to tour the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building, and other popular attractions. Also, stop by our office at 1123 Longworth House Office Building – we would love to see you!
