The 5th Congressional District of Michigan encompasses all of Genesee and Tuscola Counties and part of Bay and Saginaw Counties. Urban areas within the district include the cities of Flint, Saginaw and Bay City. In addition to these cities, the 5th District has rural, agricultural areas as well. The district is also home to several institutions of higher learning including the University of Michigan-Flint, Mott Community College, Delta College and Kettering University.
