For centuries, America's Service Academies have provided young men and women with a premier education and unparalleled training, producing some of our finest military leaders. As Academy graduates protect our country today in the War on Terrorism, we are proud to nominate South Carolina students to follow in their footsteps. If you are considering applying to a service academy, we would be more than happy to help you with the nomination process.
The Nomination Process Applicants must be residents of the 2nd Congressional District which currently encompasses the following counties: Allendale, Barnwell, Beaufort, Hampton, Jasper, Lexington, as well as parts of Aiken, Calhoun, Orangeburg, and Richland. Note to Military Dependants: If you are a military dependent, you are required by law to apply for a nomination in your legal domicile. Requesting a Nomination from Our Office: If you would like a nomination, please contact my Midlands office in the spring of your junior year in high school. Please read the Service Academy Application Procedure, fill out our Service Academy Application Form, and mail it to our Midlands office at:
Congressman Joe Wilson Applications must be completed and submitted to our office by October 30, 2010. Additional Information: In addition to applying to my office for a nomination, you must also complete and submit the admissions application to your academy or academies of choice.
