Find your Representative

by ZIP (+4)
You can find the final 4 digits of your zip code at the US Postal Service website.
Below is the contact information for Congressman Hoyer’s offices. My staff work hard to serve the constituent of Maryland’s 5th District and are available to take your comments and help you with any problems that you have as it relates to the federal government. As a Congressional courtesy I am only able to help those people who reside within Maryland’s 5th district, if you are unsure who your congressman is please enter your zip code here. If you live elsewhere, and would like to contact Congressman Hoyer in his position of Majority Leader, please use his Majority Leader website.  Also, there are separate web forms if you are a constituent of Congressman Hoyer and are looking for information about requesting a flag flown over the Capitol or would like to request a tour.

If you need assistance with a personal case issue, in accordance with the Federal Privacy Act of 1974, we must have a signed privacy release form outlining your problem or a signed letter which clearly states your issue. This provides our office permission to look into the matter on your behalf. Please send the SIGNED release form or letter to the appropriate District Office via US Postal Service, fax or deliver it in person.  WE CAN NOT ACCEPT EMAILS FOR CASEWORK ACTION UNLESS THEY HAVE YOUR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE.
Correspondence has the greatest impact when it is:
  • In an easy to read format, with a clear purpose stated in the first paragraph
  • Regarding a single issue, not a group of unrelated issues
  • Not attempting to begin a dialogue, which is better conducted on the phone or in person
  • Directed to the appropriate office: committee business to the committee, and constituent business to the Member's personal office
  • In your own words, not copied from a form letter or Web site
  • From an individual, not an intermediary organization or Web site
