Lincroft, NJ — Congressmen Frank Pallone (NJ-06) and Rush Holt (NJ-12) Tuesday officially opened the New Jersey Technology Solutions Center in a ribbon cutting ceremony at Brookdale Community College, a partner in the new program. The center will be a significant economic benefit to the region by providing employment opportunities for skilled Fort Monmouth employees through contracts with the Army.

“High-tech jobs at the NJ Technology Solutions Center will contribute to a growing technology sector that will serve the local and regional economy for years to come,” said Pallone. “With this center we aim to show New Jersey companies that they have nothing to fear. Monmouth County is going to remain a hub of technology jobs for years to come.”

“The Fort Monmouth workers who remain in New Jersey have skills and experience our country needs—skills in helping us defeat a growing IED threat, skills in helping us make the most of the communications technology revolution that is underway. Our task is to ensure that we harness that talent and put it to work in our community. The Tech Center is one of the most important ways to invest in this valuable workforce in order to meet critical national and homeland security needs. As we’ve heard today, the Tech Center is moving forward to achieve those goals,” Holt said.

“The New Jersey Technology Solutions Center (NJTSC) and its member companies will create jobs that take advantage of the highly skilled workers from Ft. Monmouth and our region’s existing workforce to provide high-tech solutions for the U.S. Army and private industry in the Communications, Renewable Energy and Homeland Security sectors. NJTSC is positioned to be an economic engine for the region for years to come. The support of Congressmen Holt and Pallone was essential in the formation and continued success of this organization,” said Amy Fitzgerald Director of the Monmouth County Economic and Workforce Development.
