Request a Tour

If you are planning a visit to D.C. and you are from Hawaii’s Second District, which includes rural Oahu and our neighbor islands, I will be happy to assist in scheduling tours for you of our historic Nation’s Capitol.  You can request a tour by filling out the form below. Because tour hours and ticket availabilities vary throughout the year, we appreciate a minimum of 12 weeks advance notice. March through August is our peak tour season and we receive hundreds of requests for tour assistance.  Ample lead time improves your success in obtaining tours.

Mail Delay
Please note that due to heightened security in the U.S. Capitol, mail service to the Washington, D.C. Senate office has been significantly delayed. If you have any correspondence that is time sensitive, please use alternatives such as e-mail, phone, or fax.
Available Tours
White House Tour Information
Congressional tours of the White House are available on a first come, first served basis. The White House will accept requests up to six months in advance and will not accept requests made less than 30 days from your desired tour date. Tours are self-guided, approximately 30 minutes in length, and are scheduled Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:30am to 10am.

If we are unable to secure a tour, you can visit the White House Visitor Center, open daily from 7:30am to 4pm. The Center is located at the southeast corner of 15th and E Streets and features many aspects of the White House including the architecture, furnishings, first families, and relations with the world leaders.

U.S. Capitol Building and Capitol Visitor Center
The Capitol Visitor Center, unveiled to the public in December 2008, now offers guided tours of the U.S. Capitol Building Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Tour tickets are required and I will be happy to reserve tickets for you. You can also reserve tickets by visiting the CVC website at VisitTheCapitol.gov.
