Science and Technology
I am proud to sit on the House Science and Technology Committee, where I can help shape America’s approach toward research, innovation, and science education. California’s 10th Congressional District is a hub of scientific innovation and exploration. The district is home to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories, labs that are working on the next generation of clean technologies while protecting important national security assets. Our district also includes the Joint Genome Institute in Walnut Creek, which brings together scientists from six labs in the area to advance genomic research for Department of Energy clean energy projects. These facilities help keep America ahead of the economic curve through research and promoting public-private technology transfers, and I am proud to assist them in Congress.
