Environment
Protecting the natural beauty of California and the 10th Congressional District is a priority of mine. I live on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, the largest estuary on the West Coast, and I am passionately in favor of preserving our natural heritage for fish and fowl, people and the planet. Contra Costa County is also home to Mount Diablo State Park, and Suisun Bay rests in Solano County, to name just a few of the natural wonders of the area. I support preservation and cleanup efforts, and I am a consistent advocate for clean energy production and efficiency projects, because I understand that environmental stewardship and long term economic growth go hand-in-hand.
—Congressman John Garamendi
