Our Washington, D.C. office can arrange for you to visit various attractions in and around our nation's capital.  All tour requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  There are no guarantees that tours will be granted. In addition, you can now book your tours online directly through the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center in just minutes.

Please submit your tour request 2-3 months in advance of your arrival in Washington, D.C.  Even if our office is unable to schedule tours for you, most attractions have public tours, many of which run Monday to Friday throughout the day.

PLEASE NOTE: Tours for the White House and Bureau of Engraving and Printing  are available on an extremely limited basis. Please make requests for White House Tours available at least 3 months in advance and requests for the Bureau of Printing and Engraving at least 2 months in advance

CONGRESSIONAL TOURS:

THE WHITE HOUSE No individual public tours are operating at this time. Group tours may be requested only through my office, and tours are granted at the sole discretion of the White House Visitor’s Office. Due to high demand, our office is unable to guarantee any tours. These self‐guided tours are scheduled from 7:30am‐11:00am Tuesday‐Thursday, until 12:00pm on Friday, and until 1:00pm on Saturdays.

Requests may be submitted up to six months in advance, but no later than one month prior to the desired tour date. Prior to gaining admittance into the White House, the US Secret Service must perform a criminal background check on all visitors. For this purpose we will need the following information for all visitors: full name, date of birth, social security number, gender, and citizenship information. As our office is required to submit this information at the time we request your tour, we recommend you contact our office as early as possible. Tel: (202) 225-2939.

The White House visitor's center is open daily from 7:30am to 4:00pm, and is located at 1450 Pennsylvania Ave., NW.. (202) 456-7041.

UNITED STATES CAPITOL - The Capitol Visitor’s Center conducts free guided tours of the Capitol Monday through Saturday throughout the year. You can reserve a tour up to two months advance. Tours will be conducted from 8:45am to 3:30pm. The Capitol will be open on all federal holidays except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Inauguration Day. Passes for the House and Senate galleries are available in my office. Tel: (202) 226-8000

LIBRARY OF CONGRESS - Jefferson Building. Open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Located at First Street and Independence Avenue, SE. Public Tours available Monday-Friday 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM; Saturdays 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM. Additionally, Congressional reserved tours are available through my office. Tel: (202) 501-5205

THE SUPREME COURT - Open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Lectures are held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every hour on the half hour when the court is not in session. No tours are given during August. Located at First Street and Maryland Avenue, NE. Group tours of 50 or more must contact the Supreme Court at least one month in advance. Tel: (202) 479-3211

NATIONAL ARCHIVES Reservations are not required for individuals or groups wishing to enter through the general public entrance. Fall & Winter Seasons (Day after Labor Day through March 14): Daily 10:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. Closed Dec. 25.Spring & Summer Seasons (March 15th – Labor Day): Daily 10:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. Plan on spending at least 90 minutes viewing a 17-minute introductory film in the McGowan Theater and visiting three exhibit galleries - the Lawrence F. O’Brien changing exhibit gallery, the Public Vaults permanent exhibit gallery, and the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom - home of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING - The public tours are from 9:00am-10:45am and 12:30pm-2:00pm and run every 15 minutes. During the month of May through the month August evening tours are also offered from 5:00-7:00pm. During the peak season (March-September), tickets are required for all tours and they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, Congressional guided tours are available through my office. Requests may be submitted up to six months in advance, but no later than two weeks prior to the desired tour date.
