Fiscal Year 2011 Funding Requests
Over the next few months, Congress will be writing legislation that will fund the federal government in 2011. These bills will support our national laboratories and defense installations, as well as important education, energy and health care initiatives in our state.
Although I am not a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee charged with writing the bills, every year I urge committee members to consider funding projects in our state. My policy is to forward to Appropriations Committee members all requests I receive from New Mexicans; however, I do so knowing that only a very small number will be selected.
Below are the requests I have made for 2011, listed in alphabetical order and posted on the day they are due to each subcommittee. Please check back to my website in the coming months to find out which of the projects were funded.
