SENATOR NELSON’S THANKSGIVING MESSAGE

November 23, 2010 – Today, Senator Nelson released the following message for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday:

“This is Senator Ben Nelson wishing my fellow Nebraskans a Happy Thanksgiving.

“We have a lot to be thankful for this year, especially the brave men and women serving our country in uniform. Thanks to them, combat operations in Iraq have ended and we are now concentrating on just one war zone where I am confident we will prevail.

“While unemployment remains too high we can be thankful that the economy is improving and jobs are being created and we won’t stop until everyone who wants a job has one.

“While world events change from time to time, one thing we can always be thankful for is the love and health of our families and friends and that we live in a free country.”
