“The Congressional Art Competition has always been an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their artistic abilities,” said Delahunt. “I look forward to seeing the remarkable variety of artwork from our exceptionally talented young people here on the South Shore and Cape & Islands.”
Delahunt, together with the Art Complex Museum of Duxbury, has invited all interested high school students throughout the Tenth Congressional District to take part. The winning entry, will be announced at a reception at the beginning of May, and displayed in the US Capitol for a year as part of a national exhibition representing each participating Congressional District in the nation. In addition, the winning artist may be offered a four year renewable scholarship from the Savannah School of Design in Savannah, Georgia that totals $6,000.
Entry forms and artwork are due to Congressman Delahunt’s office by April 24. Each school may submit up to 15 entries.
