Project Requests

As the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure prepares legislation to reauthorize the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), I have submitted the following projects for the Committee’s consideration.  I have attached additional information regarding these projects for further review.  Below is the list of project requests in no particular order for review:

- Construction of a joint Transportation Facility in Becker County, MN  $6,000,000

- Engineering, acquire right of way, construction and resurfacing of CSAH 52, in Clay County, MN  $4,560,000

- Design, engineering and construction of Crescent Parkway in Detroit Lakes, MN  $1,451,200

- Design and engineering of 7th Street NE, Dilworth, MN   $1,173,600

- Design, acquire right-of-way and construct a full intersection, with signal lights, at 5th Avenue NW and US Highway 2 (Gateway Drive) in East Grand Forks, MN   $994,400

- Construction of an interchange at Trunk Highway 23 and CSAH 7 in Lyon County, MN  $6,920,000

- McLeod County will conduct a review of TH 15 developing specific safety, access and mobility needs along TH 15 corridor from US Hwy 10 and Interstate 94 (Sauk Rapids, MN) to Interstate 90 ( Fairmont , MN )  $320,000

- Construction of Minnesota Valley Regional Rail Authority 15 miles of rail rehabilitation and bridge improvements  $6,000,000

- Construct Main/20th Street/ 21st Street Grade Separations, planning of 11th St. underpass, and ancillary improvements for City of Moorhead, MN Comprehensive Safety Program  $5,000,000

- Construct a multi-modal Paul Bunyan State Trail Bridge over Trunk Highway 197 near Bemidji, MN $1,600,000

- Construct an interchange and turning lanes at the intersection of US Hwy 10 and Otter Tail CSAH 34, near Perham, MN   $5,309,089  

- Minnesota River Valley National Scenic Byway, Renville County,   MN CSAH 5 design, assessment, acquire right of way and construction south of Renville county line to County Road 3  $3,170,000

- Construct, engineer, and acquire right-of-way for a highway overpass over U.S. Hwy 10 and the BNSF Railroad tracks for necessary roadways to connect Todd County CSAH 21 to Wadena CSAH 30 in Staples, MN  $6,680,000

- Planning and construction of maintenance and administrative facility, update fleet vehicles and corridor improvements for pedestrian traffic to transit shelters within White Earth Tribal Nation, MN  $2,800,000  

- Final Design and construction of 4-lane roadway from New London, MN to Paynesville, MN on MN State Highway 23 $12,000,000
