To successfully meet our nation’s energy challenges, a new comprehensive energy strategy will need to focus on securing fair energy costs for all Americans and reducing our nation’s dependence on foreign energy sources, while maintaining a firm commitment to protecting our natural environment.  To address these issues, a national energy strategy must include substantial new investments to develop safe nuclear power, clean coal technologies, responsible, safe and secure offshore exploration and drilling, renewable energy production, and conservation measures.
