My staff and I realize the value of the hands-on learning experience attained from a Congressional internship. Therefore we encourage college students to apply for an opportunity to work in either our Washington, D.C. or District offices.
All internships are non-paying positions and are available throughout the year. We prefer that our applicants be Pennsylvania residents with ties to the 15th District, but exceptions may be made depending on the qualifications of the applicant.
To apply for one of our internships, please submit a resume, two letters of reference with contact information, and a completed application.
Please mail your completed packet to the office of where you would like to intern. While we do not have an application deadline, we do strongly encourage those interested to apply as soon as possible in order to make any necessary housing arrangements.
Legal Residents of the 15th District of Pennsylvania may apply for nomination to the Military Academy (West Point), the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy.

The Republican Page Program is a hands-on experience available to high school students interested in becoming familiar with the operation of the U.S. Congress. Congressman Dent encourages all qualified high school students to apply for this opportunity to work in Washington, D.C.
The Office of the Speaker periodically makes available the application for the Republican Page Program. All applicants need to complete an application form and provide the following: social security number, signed parental consent form, official transcript of all high school grades to date, a 50-100 word essay on why they want to be a Republican Page, resume of extra-curricular activities and three letters of recommendation. Completed applications are to be returned to our Washington , DC office. We will then choose the best-qualified candidates' applications and compose our own letter of support and sponsorship for the student. Appointment notification will be made to our office, not the student directly. We will then notify the student chosen to work on the Hill and participate in the Republican Page Program as soon as their acceptance is confirmed by the Office of the Speaker.
To be qualified to serve as a Page, all applicants must be 16 years of age at the time of their appointment start date and have a cumulative grade point average of a “B” or better (“B” is a 3.0 or 80/100) in the five major subjects. Those summer applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA requirement may have their application reviewed by the Page Board for consideration. Additionally, summer program applicants may only serve as a Page during the summer before or the summer after their junior year of high school.
