Artistic Discovery - the Congressional Art Competition

Congressional Art Competition Form

The 32nd Congressional District of California is once again participating in the Annual Congressional Art Competition.  This competition provides an excellent opportunity to encourage and recognize the rich artistic talents of our district's youth.

For the past 26 years, more than 300 Congressional offices have participated in this competition.  The winning entries (one from each Congressional District) are displayed in the corridors of the U.S Capitol.  In years past, the 32nd Congressional District art competition has been tremendously successful, receiving more than 300 entries from various high schools throughout the district each year. The winner is flown out to Washington D.C. to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony, view their artwork in the U.S. Capitol and meet with over 300 other art competition winners from around the country.

Please click here or on the link below for flyers and entry forms further explaining the guidelines of the competition.  All entries must be delivered to the El Monte District Office at 4401 Santa Anita Ave., Suite 201, in El Monte by April 23rd, 2010 at 5:00 pm.  Regrettably, any entries received after April 23rd and those not meeting the size requirements will be disqualified.  The winning selection will then be sent to Washington, D.C., and displayed alongside other winning entries from Congressional Districts from across the country.

The 27th Annual Congressional Art Competition provides a unique tribute to our nation's gifted young artists.  Please encourage your student or youth to participate in this worthwhile program for the opportunity to represent the 32nd District proudly in the U.S. Capitol.

For more information, contact Bryan Urias at the El Monte office at (626) 448-1271.
