Max's office would be happy to arrange various congressional tours around our Nation's Capitol - whether it's touring the Capitol building or the White House - let us know how we can help you!
Several attractions allow Senators to request a limited number of reserved spots for tours. As office resources allow, we are happy to request reserved times for these tours on behalf of Montanans. While the office is eager to fit these attractions into your visit, tour acceptance or denial is solely at the discretion of the attractions themselves. We cannot guarantee a reserved tour no matter how far in advance it is requested. If a reserved time is unavailable, many of these attractions offer the exact same tour - day of- on a first come, first served basis.
Once you have previewed all available tours and submitted the Tour Request Form through this website, the office will begin the process of scheduling your tours. Please note that each tour has specific requirements for scheduling tours. For example, some destinations accept requests no earlier than 3 months in advance. Some will not accept tour requests without at least a week's notice. White House tours are the last to be confirmed (sometimes with as little notice as 2 weeks).
You will be contacted by a tour coordinator within a week of your tour request. It's not advisable to wait for a confirmed tour before making travel arrangements, as attractions sometimes confirm tours with very little notice.
TIPS for making your tour request:
- Please plan ahead. Many tours fill up quickly, especially during holidays and in the spring and summer months.
- When listing your ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE dates on the Tour Request Form, please list available tour dates ONLY. This way we do not schedule a tour on a day that you will be coming in or leaving town.
- Please inform the tour coordinator the earliest time you would be willing to take tours during your visit (tours can be scheduled as early as 7:30am unless they are aware of your time constraints).
- We are happy to work around your schedule, so please keep them updated if you make other plans during your visit to Washington DC.
- Please tell us if you've contacted any other Congressional offices with a tour request so we can work together to avoid scheduling conflicts and double bookings.
- As soon as your travel plans are firm, fill out and submit a Tour Request Form by clicking here.
