Internships

My office is always accepting resumes from college students interested in interning for academic credit throughout the year in both my district offices, and in Washington D.C.

Interns working in either the Woodbury or Waite Park offices have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides vital services to constituents as well as play a key role in the office’s interaction with the surrounding community.

Interns in the Washington, D.C. office have an exciting opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about the legislative process and our federal government by working closely with our office’s top notch legislative, communications, and constituent services staff members.

You have everything to gain from a congressional internship, and we're looking forward to having you come on board.

All internships are unpaid and candidates who are chosen for the Washington, D.C. office are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. However, interns in any office can arrange to receive academic credit for their work. My internship program is open to all college students, regardless of major.

*The deadline to apply for a fall internship has passed. The deadline to apply for a spring 2011 internship is October 29, 2010.
