Reps. Deutch and Klein Hold Press Conference on Saving Teacher Jobs


West Palm Beach, Aug 11 - Wednesday, August 11th, Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-19) and Congressman Ron Klein (FL-22) will hold a press conference after returning from Washington for an emergency vote on legislation to save the jobs of 160,000 teachers across America. Palm Beach County public school teachers and officials will join Reps. Deutch and Klein as they discuss how the Education and Medicaid Assistance Act of 2010 keeps teachers in the classroom rather than on the unemployment line. The legislation, which is paid for by closing a tax loophole for corporations that ship American jobs overseas, was brought to the floor by House Democrats despite Republican opposition.
