Internships

The internship program in my office provides young people with the opportunity to learn first-hand about the operations of Congress and its role in our nation's government.

Intern responsibilities include conducting tours of the Capitol, responding to constituent concerns, researching legislative issues, writing letters, and working with my staff on issues that affect the nation and Kentucky.

All applicants must be college students with an interest in the legislative process and government affairs. Excellent writing and communication skills, a good work ethic, and the ability to work as a team are desired. If you are interested in working as an intern in my Lexington or Washington offices, please fill out the application (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) on this page and send it in with your resume, writing sample, and two letters of recommendation to the respective address below. Kentucky ties are strongly preferred.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
