Washington, Jul 7 - Washington D.C. – U.S. Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite (FL-05) released the following statement on the U.S. Justice Department’s decision to sue the state of Arizona over their new immigration law:

“For decades all non-Americans have been required by law to carry with them, at all times, ‘any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to [them]’. The state of Arizona is simply attempting to do what the Federal Government has proven incapable of doing: enforcing the law. 

"Instead of wasting taxpayer dollars running expensive TV ads that encourage illegal immigration, as Labor Secretary Hilda Solis has done, Americans would benefit from the Federal government actually enforcing the laws that are already on the books.”
