During the Rules Committee Markup of H.R. 3962.  Ways & Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY) agreed that AARP's operations are worthy of a closer look.  To view his comments, click here.

In response to the Chairman's comments, Congresswoman Brown-Waite delivered this letter to Chairman Rangel calling on him to make good on his word.

In the midst of the Congresswoman's exchange, Dave Camp, Ranking Member of the Ways & Means Committee, authored this letter requesting a response from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He asks them to explain their decision to punish Humana health care for speaking out against the President's health care plan when they did not hold AARP to the same standard when they spoke out in favor of the President's plan.
