Akin Encouraged by Old Monroe Hearings on Plan H PDF Print

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Todd Akin (R-Mo.), today said he was encouraged that the Army Corps. of Engineers was holding an open house and public hearing on Plan H at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 121 Maryknoll Road, Old Monroe, Missouri at 4 and 6 p.m. respectively.

Congressman Akin, who has long advocated for delaying and at least revising the implementation of Plan H in order to accommodate the legitimate concerns of his constituents, stated that he was encouraged by the public hearing and hopes that the both the residents and the Army Corps. make optimum use of the hearing to address the concerns of residents.

Congressman Akin sent the enclosed letter regarding plan H to Governor Nixon on September 28, 2010.
