I am closely following the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and working with local, state and federal officials to ensure that every resource is made available to address this serious situation.  As my office gathers additional information about oil spill monitoring and recovery, I will make it available here on my web site.

The National Pollution Funds Center (NPFC) provides information on the types of claims that can be filed and how to document claims for damages.  The NPFC does not handle initial claims, but rather provides the guidelines for filing.

BP Vessel of Opportunity program:

 

BP has established a vessel of opportunity program for vessel owners to offer their services to assist with response efforts.  Contact 1-877-847-7470.  Vessel owners will need to provide details about their vessel: name, owner, horsepower, length, draft, etc.
