San Ramon, CA – Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) today announced he will hold a grants workshop to provide information about the availability of federal and foundation grants and how to apply for them.  The workshop is targeted at government, educational, and non-profit organizations.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 19th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the San Ramon Community Center’s Alcosta Room, located at 12501 Alcosta Boulevard.

The workshop will be headlined by a representative from the Foundation Center.  Established in 1956, the Foundation Center maintains a comprehensive database on foundation and corporate grants, issues informational resources, conducts research and offers educational programs. 

Speakers on federal grant opportunities will include representatives from the Department of Education and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
