Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) announced that members of his staff, along with representatives from Medicare, Social Security and the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) will host senior assistance office hours in Tracy this Friday, December 18^th at Lolly Hansen Senior Center.

Representatives from Medicare, Social Security and HICAP will be on hand to offer assistance with obtaining Medicare and Social Security benefits as well as answer questions about the Medicare open enrollment period, which is currently underway.  

During the open enrollment period, which runs until December 31^st, seniors can choose to enroll in or modify their Medicare prescription drug plan and select a Medicare health plan for coverage during 2010.
