Following Public Meetings on Health Care Reform, McNerney Hosts Next Telephone Town Hall PDF Print E-mail

November 3, 2009

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) announced that he will hold his next telephone town hall this Thursday, November 5th at 6:40 p.m. PST.  Continuing his efforts to reach out to the community on health care reform and other topics, this is the seventh telephone town hall Rep. McNerney has held this year.

This telephone town hall also builds on in-person events hosted by Rep. McNerney that have focused on proposed health care legislation, including a Congress at Your Corner this past Sunday in Tracy.  This year, hundreds of people have attended Congress at Your Corners to share their thoughts on, and ask questions about, proposed health care legislation.

This Thursday evening, residents from cities throughout the 11th District will be contacted by phone and, if they choose to participate, will join an hour-long telephone town hall meeting during which they will be able to ask questions of Rep. McNerney about the proposed health care legislation as well as other topics.

Residents of the 11th Congressional District can also contact one of Rep. McNerney’s offices to sign up in advance for the telephone town hall.  Rep. McNerney’s Stockton office can be reached at 209-476-8552 and the Pleasanton office at 925-737-0727.  The deadline to sign up for the telephone town hall is Thursday, November 5th at 5:00 p.m. PST.
