WHO: Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski (PA-11)

WHAT: Tour of Lackawanna County Women’s Resource Center with staff members. The Center was founded in 1976 as a safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. WRC offers a 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, shelter and support groups for victims. WRC also provides civil legal services to the Center’s clients.

WHERE: 620 Madison Ave., Scranton. Because of the sensitive nature of this subject, reporters MUST promise not to disclose the location of the shelter. Photographers CANNOT take photos from the outside.
