Reauthorization, H.R. 2. The improvements to Children’s Health
Insurance made through this legislation will ensure continued health

Kids in Iowa (HAWK-I), and will provide coverage for the tens of
thousands of low-income children in Iowa who currently qualify but
remain uninsured.

Inspection Act Of 2008 Is Accepted By The House Of Representatives
07/25/2008 Congressman Dave Loebsack offered an amendment during House
debate of the National Highway Bridge Reconstruction and Inspection Act
of 2008, H.R. 3999. The Congressman’s amendment, which was approved by
voice vote, will revise the bill to require the Secretary of
Transportation to study flood risks posed to bridges in the 500 year
flood plain.

foreign owned company instead of the Beoing Team. Rockwell Collins of
Cedar Rapids, Iowa was part of the Boeing bid and would supply the
aviation and electronics subsystems on the KC-767 Advanced Tanker.

10/23/2007 Congressman Loebsack urged his colleagues to support the
Joshua Omvig Suicide Prevention Act, H.R. 327. Named for a soldier from
Grundy Center who took his own life after returning from Iraq, this
legislation directs the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to increase
screening, counseling and provide other mental health services for
returning war veterans.
