"I am extremely disappointed that the President left out parishes affected by Hurricane Gustav in his 100% federal cost share declaration.  While Hurricane Ike caused tremendous damage to the southern part of Louisiana and those affected by the storm deserve all available assistance from the federal government, Hurricane Gustav was equally devastating- if not more so- to the 6^th District.  Additionally, Livingston Parish, which received significant damage from Hurricane Ike and was included in the federal disaster declaration, was not made eligible for 100% cost share.
