Page Program

Since 1827, the Page Program has offered young Americans the chance to learn about the legislative branch of our federal government by experiencing first hand the day-to-day operations of the United States Congress.  The Page Program is a unique and prestigious opportunity for high school students from around the country, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to nominate a Page for the Summer 2008 Session.

The selected student must be available to live and work in Washington, DC from Sunday, July 6, 2008 through Saturday, August 1, 2008.  Qualified applicants need to be as least sixteen years of age prior to July 6, 2008, have completed the 10th grade and not yet begun the 12th grade, be a citizen of the United States, and have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Students interested in applying for the position need to meet the requirements listed above and return a completed application, including an official high school transcript and three letters of recommendation (one from a current teacher), to my office by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008.  Students selected as Finalists should be available for after school interviews in my Downtown Louisville Office April 1-3, 2008.

Any questions regarding the Page nomination process should be directed to my Washington office at 202-225-5401.
