STATEMENT FROM CLERK OF THE HOUSE LORRAINE C. MILLER

The Secretary and the Clerk are proud to issue revised guidance concerning the Lobbying Disclosure Act today. This revised guidance, required by the Act, will implement the intent of the 2007 Honest Leadership and Open Government Act ("HLOGA") to increase disclosure and transparency in the lobbying process. We have also made the process significantly more automated and user-friendly. Our offices have accomplished these objectives effectively in the utmost professional and bicameral manner.
