With the holidays just around the corner, it is important to show our gratitude to those who keep our country safe. The American Red Cross and U.S. Armed Forces have teamed up for the “Holiday Mail for Heroes” program to deliver holiday greetings from the United States to troops serving abroad. I encourage South Jersey residents to send warm greetings to servicemen and women who will be unable to be home for the upcoming holiday season.

Congressman LoBiondo joined with local officials for the ribbon-cutting of the Samuel Jones Innovation Center in Gloucester County. This is the first building of a planned 25-building South Jersey Technology Park that is being developed adjacent to and in cooperation with Rowan University.


Congressman LoBiondo met with Linwood Donelson of Salem, Domenic Merendino of Penns Grove and Trey Murschell of Woodstown who visited Washington as part of the NJ chapter of HOSA, a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education to promote career opportunities in the health care industry.


Congressman LoBiondo met with Lt. General Craig McKinley, Director of the Air National Guard, to discuss the importance of the 177th Fighter Wing out of Egg Harbor Township in the present and future force protection strategy for the country.


Congressman LoBiondo joined with his colleagues outside the U.S. Capitol to demand action on the "Consumer Price Protection Act," legislation he sponsored with Rep. John Larson (CT-01) to crack down on excessive oil speculation which in turn would seek to reduce the cost of gasoline.


Congressman LoBiondo addressed the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce at their recent monthly meeting. He discussed his comprehensive energy policy and took questions from local business leaders.


Congressman LoBiondo honored South Jersey veterans of the Korean War at a ceremony in Atlantic City marking the 55th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice.


Congressman LoBiondo met with enthusiastic 4-H participants from South Jersey on their recent visit to the Capitol.


A supporter of AARP's "Divided We Fail" campaign, Congressman LoBiondo spoke at the annual Cape May-Atlantic Chapter's Legislative Breakfast. He addressed their concerns on affordable healthcare, prescription drug costs, financial security and rising energy costs.


Congressman LoBiondo joined with partners of the planned Aviation Research & Technology Park in Atlantic County to announce that the project was awarded a $2.5 million federal grant. A strong advocate for animal protection laws, Congressman LoBiondo received the "Humane Champion" award from Michael Markarian, Executive Vice President of the Humane Society of the United States, for his continued advocacy. LoBiondo scored a perfect 100 on the group's annual scorecard of legislators.


Congressman LoBiondo visited with Sara and John Rosati, who are South Jersey athletes participating in the Special Olympics. Sara and John met with LoBiondo at his Washington office to encourage him to support increased funding for the Special Olympics.



During a recent visit to Iraq, Congressman LoBiondo had the opportunity to sit down with service men and women from New Jersey at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.
