EDA Investment Will Create Jobs in Albuquerque
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Heather Wilson today announced a $1 million Economic Development Grant for the All Indian Pueblo Council that will help create jobs in Albuquerque.
The investment is expected to generate about $3 million in private investment and help create 200 jobs, according to the Economic Development Administration.
The money will be used to facilitate access for utilities to a development site on the West Side of Albuquerque near the 12 Street exit off Interstate 40. It can be used to improve access for power, gas, communications, water, sewer and roads.
“Congratulations to the All Indian Pueblo Council,” Wilson said. “These funds are an investment in Albuquerque, and will help businesses create jobs.”
The grant, authorized by Congress, is for infrastructure improvements in Albuquerque serving retail and commercial businesses within a Historically Underutilized Business Zone.
