The White House Fellows Program is a prestigious program that offers people the chance to work in the White House. The program allows people to become paid assistants to White House Staff, the Vice President, Cabinet Secretaries, and other top-ranking government officials. The program typically lasts one year with full-time working hours. The program is non-partisan and has fostered nearly 600 alumni. Many of the alumni are respected leaders from throughout the country. Alumni include Secretary of State Colin Powell, Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, and New Mexico Governor Garrey Carruthers. Eligibility
  • All applicants must be U. S. citizens.
  • Employees of the federal government are not eligible unless they are career military personnel.
  • Applicants should be finished with their undergraduate education and working in their chosen professions.
  • There are no formal age restrictions. However, the fellowship program was created to give selected Americans the experience of government service early in their careers.
  • Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2003 to be eligible. Fellowships are given on a strictly non-partisan basis. Contact Information To request a brochure and application or to get more information contact The White House Fellows Program.
