Introduces Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Heather Wilson (R-NM) today joined with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, introduce General Richard B. Myers, and members of the Congressional Women’s Caucus to pay tribute women who have died in the service of the United States military. The 5th Annual Women’s Caucus Wreath Laying Ceremony was held today at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery.

“Today we remember America`s women who were called to serve and we honor their sacrifice,” said Wilson.

Several other military dignitaries and high-ranking non-commissioned officers from the five branches of service were present. During the ceremony, the colors (flags) of each service were presented and retired, a wreath laid, and members of the Congressional Women’s Caucus presented roses in honor of fallen U.S. servicewomen.
