A New Mexican Success Story |

Dear Friends,
Missy Martinez-Duenas recently moved the radio and communications business she started to a new location. She grew up in Las Vegas and never thought she would be an entrepeneur, but she`s good at it.
I went to her company, MGS Communications, for a small business town hall Thursday morning.
As it happens, Missy is also an Al Hurricane fan and Al was there. Al has been an institution in New Mexico music for fifty years. We got to talking.
I told him that I was scheduled to visit Mr. Janov`s Rock and Rhythm music class at Jefferson Middle School after lunch and I invited him along.
To my surprise and delight, he came! So, the 7th and 8th graders at Jefferson got to jam with Al Hurricane on Thursday.
Jefferson has 150 kids in the rock and rhythm band and one third of their students participate in the music program in some way. It was a pleasure to spend some time with them and with Al Hurricane.
I guess that`s just one more success story for Missy Martinez-Duenas and MGS Communications.
It`s good to be home,
