The 2009 Presidential Inauguration
A small number of tickets for the Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony of Barack Obama on January 20, 2009 will be made available to each member of Congress. We are currently accepting requests from constituents of New York's 19th District for this exciting and historic Inauguration. Tickets will be provided free of charge.
Unfortunately, we do not yet know how many tickets our office will be allocated. However, we do know that we will receive far fewer tickets than the number needed to meet all requests and we cannot guarantee that every request will be accommodated. Most tickets will be for standing room and we will get a very limited number of tickets for seats at the event.
Even if you are unable to get a ticket to the Inauguration, there are many other exciting events open to the public to celebrate this historic Inauguration. Tickets are not required to watch the Inauguration from the mall, or to view the parade along Pennsylvania Avenue.
