Quality New Mexico Welcomes General Norman Schwarzkopf March 21, 2000

I have long applauded the commitment of Quality New Mexico to improvements in quality in business, education, government, and healthcare in our state.

Quality New Mexico is a non-profit organization that seeks to educate New Mexicans about quality, and to promote an economic climate that will foster and enhance the prosperity of New Mexico’s citizens. I consider it my privilege to serve as Honorary Chair for this organization, along with other members of the New Mexico Delegation.

At this year’s Quality New Mexico 2000 Conference in April, the people of New Mexico will have the distinct honor of welcoming General Norman Schwarzkopf - commander of operations for Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the 1991 Persian Gulf War, and winner of three silver stars, three bronze stars, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

General Schwarzkopf is, indeed, a general’s general - one who has inspired young troops to willingly do the impossible, in the name of service to our country. I could not imagine a more fitting keynote speaker to address the Quality New Mexico Conference. His speech on leadership, “From the War Room to the Board Room,” should be an inspiration to us all.

General Schwarzkopf, thank you for coming and sharing your thoughts with us. And Quality New Mexico, thank you for your continued endeavors to make New Mexico the Quality State!

If you have any questions about this year’s training conference, or if you’d like to register, please send an e-mail to: qnm@quality-Newmexico.org
