Staying updated on current events is essential, and to keep you informed with news and up-to-date information, links to helpful sources on the internet are provided for your convenience. News General Information Defend America is a site that contains much of the latest news about the War on terrorism, including armed forces and government information.

News: American Forces Department of Defense Armed Forces News is a site that gives updates on deployments, missions, and attacks of the American armed forces. American Forces Information Department of Defense Armed Forces Information gives information on each of America`s Forces and their status. Afghanistan CNN: Afghanistan Strikes has detailed information about the military strikes in Afghanistan. Relief With the destruction in the September 11th attacks, donations are needed for the assistance of victims` families and for the rebuilding of America`s monuments. Red Cross - blood donation number: 1-800-448-3543. For cash contributions to the American Red Cross, Yahoo! has created a secure online donation form.
United Way of New York - secure online donations to the September 11th Fund for New York and D.C.
Salvation Army - donate online or contact them at 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
Fireman`s Fund - all proceeds go to the families of fallen rescue workers.
- Federal Emergency Management Agency - news and alerts. Includes suggested donation avenues to help the victims of the terrorist attacks.
