Sending some holiday cheer.... December 04, 2002

New Mexicans can send holiday greetings to American troops stationed abroad and within the continental United States serving our country. If you have a family member or a loved one serving in the U.S. Military, or if you’d simply like to express your gratitude to the men and women of our nation’s armed forces, you can send Holiday greetings in a number of ways: SEND THEM AN E-MAIL MESSAGE Send American troops a holiday message to let them know you appreciate their sacrifice. With the click of a mouse, heartfelt messages have been sent to thousands of deployed troops this holiday season. The Department of Defense has a feature on their website that you can use to send a thank you note to American soldiers. Use Operation Dear Abby to send a note of thanks. You can also send American troops a holiday message to let them know you appreciate their sacrifice." OR EVEN BETTER, SEND THEM A MOVIE!
Getting Involved: New Mexicans wishing to participate in Message From America should visit: Albuquerque Circuit City Superstore 4400 Cutler Ave. NE (San Mateo and Cutler) 827-3066
New Mexicans can send hi-tech video greetings to American troops through the Message from America by visiting the Circuit City Superstore in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The electronics store is part of a national coalition of businesses that has organized the use of technology to give Americans an opportunity to communicate with the men and women of the U.S. military. As a special part of the Message From America public service program, family members are able to record personal messages of up to five minutes in length for their loved ones. These personal messages will then be transferred to DVD, a process that takes from 20 to 30 minutes, then given to the family to mail to their loved ones.
