Tour Summary: The tour focuses on the history of the Treasury and the architectural history of the building, highlighting restored spaces, including the Salmon Chase and Andrew Johnson suites, the West wing gilded monumental dome and lobby, and the Cash room, which was the scene of Ulysses S. Grant’s inaugural reception.

Closest Metro Stop: Metro Center (Blue, Orange, and Red lines) and McPherson Square (Blue and Orange lines)

Tour Length: One hour

Availability: 9:00 am, 9:45 am, 10:30 am, and 11:15 am on Saturdays only

Tour Request Deadline: At least 2 weeks before the desired date. Tours may be reserved up to 6 months in advance.

Procedures: In order to submit a tour request, my office will need the birth date, social security number, and full name of everyone in the tour group.

Note: Adults must present photo ID for admission. No tickets are necessary.

Restrictions: Strollers, backpacks, and photography (still or video) is not permitted in the building. Tour groups may not exceed 15 people. Tours are offered to US citizens only.
