| Wilson Hires Dustman as Chief of Staff |

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Heather Wilson announced today that Capitol Hill veteran Bryce Dustman will serve as her Chief of Staff. Dustman most recently served as Communications Director for House Ways and Means Committee Vice Chairman Phil Crane.
“Bryce brings with him a wealth of experience that will help me and my staff in the work we do for New Mexico,” says Congresswoman Wilson. “I’ve always made a practice of hiring the best of the best in order to have a staff well-suited to the rigorous demands of serving the public. Bryce not only fits that mold, but will make an excellent leader for the rest of my staff. I’m very happy he’s joined us.”
As Chief of Staff (CoS), Dustman will be responsible for day-to-day operations in Wilson’s office. The CoS is usually a Member’s top aide and manages the offices in Washington, D.C. and in the district. Dustman replaces Marjorie Strayer, who left Wilson’s office to return to the private sector. “Marjorie was wonderful and I wish her all the best in her new job,” Wilson said.
Prior to working for Congressman Crane, the Dean of the House Republican Caucus, Dustman served for nearly six years as a senior aide to Senator Conrad Burns and two years as Senator Jack Danforth’s Deputy News Secretary. He also served as Communications Director for GOPAC, the Republican political action committee. Before entering public service, Dustman worked on a family-owned farm for six years, then owned and ran a 1,700-acre grain and livestock farm for seven years.
