Orphan Works

Senator Leahy has maintained a longtime interest in intellectual property issues and has addressed inequities in performance rights for artists and musicians. The Shawn Bentley Orphan Works Act would limit remedies for the use of works that may be protected by copyright laws, but whose owners cannot be identified or located.
