The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is launching a public awareness campaign called 'Share the Road,' to remind motorists to watch out for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists.
"Florida's roadways are busy with more than 18 million residents and approximately 88 million visitors each year," said Electra Theodorides-Bustle, executive director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
The campaign was created using federal grant funds from the Florida Department of Transportation. 'Share the Road' will use radio public service announcements, posters, flyers and bumper stickers to urge motorists to use courtesy while driving.
