Washington’s wine industry at a glance:

  • Washington is the nation’s second largest producer of premium wines;

  • Washington is home to more than 400 wineries, 350 wine grape growers, and over 30,000 vineyard acres;

  • Washington’s wine industry brings $3 billion into our state;

  • Washington produces more than 20 wine grape varieties, with a ratio of 47 percent red to 53 percent white;

  • Washington’s wineries produce over 18 million gallons of wine per year.
