White House director appointed liaison

The possible loss of DHL jobs in Wilmington may be the largest economic impact issue currently in the country, according to a federal official at the White House in Washington, D.C.
Karl Zinsmeister, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council and President George W. Bush’s chief domestic policy adviser, has been appointed as the liaison from the White House to work on issues pertaining to DHL’s proposal for the United Parcel Service (UPS) to take over its air carrier operations in the United States.
