Mikulski Statement on President-Elect Obama's Selection of Sen. Clinton as his Secretary of State
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) issued the following statement today in response to President-elect Obama’s naming of Senator Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State:
“In selecting Senator Clinton as Secretary of State, President-elect Barack Obama has once again demonstrated his sound judgment and his commitment to bringing the greatest minds together to serve our country. Anyone who has worked side-by-side with Senator Clinton in the Senate, as I have, knows how smart, dedicated, unflinching and unflagging she is. I can think of no better person than Senator Clinton to represent the values of our country, repair friendships around the world and restore America’s reputation abroad.”
