The following information is provided for those who are interested in acquiring tickets for the inauguration of President Elect Obama in January 2009.This will be updated as I receive new information.

Each Congressional office is provided a limited number of tickets. I have been accepting requests for tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis for the Inauguration. Tickets allotted to my office will only be distributed to current residents of the 4th District. If you are a former resident, please contact your current Member of Congress or Senator. I historically receive far more requests than the number of tickets I expect to be allotted. That is the case again this year. As of December 2, 2008, I have received far more requests than the number of tickets that I will receive. Therefore, I will not be able to consider further requests for tickets.

I highly recommend you contact both Senator Lugar (202-224-4814) and Senator Bayh (202-224-5623) to see if they still have tickets available.

If you have previously submitted a request to my office for tickets, we have you placed in the order in which the request was received. As soon as we are allotted tickets and locations of those tickets, we will distribute them in the order requests were received. In addition, if you were not allotted tickets we will inform you as soon as possible so you can continue other efforts to attend the ceremony.

Again, tickets will only be distributed to current residents of the 4th District. If you are a former resident, please contact your current Member of Congress or Senator.

Please know that you may not know if you have been allotted tickets until early January, after we have been notified of the number and locations of tickets we will receive.

If you have questions, please call Lauren of my staff at 202-225-5037.
