Senator Brown received the “Friend of Farm Bureau” Award from the Ohio Farm Bureau. The award is given each year to members of Congress who have supported issues important to Ohio agriculture. Senator Brown is the first Ohioan to serve on the Senate Agriculture Committee in more than 40 years.

Dayton-area middle class families shared their household costs with U.S. Senator Brown as he released a Middle Class Families Cost Index. “Middle class families are working harder, earning less, and paying more,” said Brown. “This combination is not sustainable. We need a new set of priorities in Washington that puts Dayton middle class families first.”
